PODCAST NOTES

What to do when you have nobody to practise English speaking with? Can you practise on your own?

You certainly can. And there is something that can help you a great deal when it comes to practising: practising slowly and increasing speed gradually, just like musicians do.

Find out the details in the first 7.30 minutes in the program.

We only look at the vocabulary that is also commonly used in everyday English. You can find the the full video of 50 words here.

In this part we go through the following useful expressions for giving opinion in meetings:

  • I (actually) think …
  • In my opinion …
  • I feel this would be …
  • As far as I know, …
  • I´m convinced that people would …
  • I´m in favour of…
  • I really do think we should …
  • To my mind, this suggestion is …
  • The way I see it, this could be …

Speaking rhythm in English is so important for better understanding, and of course for a smoother speaking experience. This in turn will also make it less of a challenge for your audience to understand what you are saying. Simply put, you will become a better English speaker.

Here’s a tutorial video lesson that explains how this works, including some examples to practise with. Make sure you check it out!
